About
I see lifestyle medicine and the healthcare sustainability as two interconnected ends of the same continuum—both essential to reducing carbon emissions while improving human health. Lifestyle medicine addresses the root causes of chronic disease through evidence-based behavioral interventions, reducing reliance on high-emission, resource-intensive medical treatments. Most importantly it helps people get and stay healthy!!! At the same time, sustainable health systems aim to minimize the environmental impact of healthcare delivery itself, including energy use, supply chains, and waste. Together, these approaches shift the focus from reactive, high-carbon care to preventive, low-impact models that support both planetary and population health. In unison, they represent a unified strategy for aligning clinical practice with climate action.
