There is a building consensus that LM can and should be a significant part of both mitigation and adaptation to CC. Not sure if anyone is thinking about this...but I am very interested to see if we can make a case that LM can be certified as a way to avoid CO2 and at the same time avert DALYs and if both outcomes could be monetized become tradeable credits in carbon markets. Carbon markets are thing and are going to be a bigger thing....would love to start a paper at least putting this into the zeitgeist...healthcare as well as food producerts could benefit. We could try to get someone from Rubicon Carbon to join this group.We need to be part of the "race to integrity."
Second, we are having an all CHS meeting on October 22nd. I would love for our group to plan some programming (a call for abstracts is coming). At any rate I want to make sure LM as CM is on the map for Oct.
